The sway blocks and bumpers are designed as wear parts to not only keep the hitch in a tightly centered position in relation to the tractor, but also to protect the drawbar support and rear casting from side-to-side impact.
Replacement of these wear parts is critical for proper right side CAT 2 and 3N/2, 3-point hitch alignment and to keep implements from wandering.
Symptoms of worn-out sway and bumper blocks: 1. Excessive play of the rear hitch and loud clanging. 2. GPS precision of the pulled implement will wander and be less effective for crop management.
